“Sunny”
Available: Our bird-y school dropout.
(Get it? "Beauty school dropout...Turn in your teasin' comb and go back to high school (La la la la la)")
We kept "Sunny" back, who we considered to be the pick of the Aspen/Marshall 2025 litter.
While she has the drive, intelligence, and instinct to be a working dog, she doesn't quite have the right personality to move on to hunt tests or competitions. To quote our trainer, "she's a little bit stubborn, and a busy-body around other dogs." Sunny always wants to be in the middle of things, rather than staying focused.
Her personality is, in short, "sunny"!
Alex, of Mesa Point Kennels, says that with maturity Sunny would make an excellent leisure hunting dog.
Why is she being offered to another home now? We prefer that our females in our breeding program here at Hunt and Home have learned a "job" in the hunting world before breeding, so that we can fully evaluate the temperament and natural working ability that they are passing on to their pups.
With Alex's training, Sunny has conquered basic obedience training, including an off-leash heel, and she is ready to make a companion dog for an active person or family. I believe she has the agility and athleticism to make an incredible agility dog--or some other exciting and engaging activity.
Sunny is beautiful, and will turn heads at the park, but will need lots of mental stimulation and physical activity.
